Professional Experience:

Lois Russo has more than 20 years of experience as a public relations executive and corporate communications counselor. She has worked with a variety of clients from start-ups to multi­national corporations on a range of strategic PR and marketing initiatives. She began her PR career as an account executive at Edelman Worldwide and went on to senior management positions at high-profile firms Hill & Knowlton, Burson-Marsteller and Shandwick Worldwide, all in New York. While at these firms, she primarily worked with clients in the corporate, professional services, financial services and technology sectors.


She has designed and conducted publicity campaigns for IBM, Sun Microsystems, Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson), the Gartner Group, Pitney Bowes, Ernst & Young, DrugStore.com, Research In Motion, Minolta and Sony Corporation, among many others. She has also managed corporate, product and image publicity and marketing campaigns for countless Internet and digital media companies. Lois has counseled corporate leaders and developed positioning and messaging platforms and is well-known for her Crisis Communications & Counseling expertise.She has written countless positioning papers, executive speeches, newsletters and bylined articles.


She has also generated placements in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Financial Times, Newsday, The Washington Post, USA Today, Crain’s New York Business, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and various trade, vertical market and specialty publications. Her clients have been seen on local and national broadcast outlets, and heard on radio programs nationwide.


Lois Russo grew up in New York, and graduated from Boston University with a degree in English. She began her professional career in book and magazine publishing.
