With 20 years of experience in public relations, Anita Bell specializes in identifying newsworthy angles and writing press materials that generate positive media coverage. She has been an account director with Thirty Ink since 2007, implementing successful campaigns for clients in higher education, professional and financial services, real estate, design, retail and several other industries.
Previously, as an account executive with Judi Hampton Public Relations, a firm based in New York and Boston, she worked with clients in the corporate, government, entertainment, and nonprofit sectors. She conducted publicity campaigns programs for McDonald’s, the Public Broadcasting System (PBS), Boston University Corporate Education Center, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, the NYC Health and Human Resources Administration, the NYC Department of Youth Employment, Literacy Volunteers, and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. She has also done publicity and marketing for medical practices, artists, and filmmakers.
Anita has generated placements in The New York Times, The Daily News, The New York Post, Newsday, The Washington Post, USA Today, BusinessWeek, the Wall Street Journal, Crain’s New York Business, Women’s Wear Daily, and trade and specialty publications across the spectrum. Her clients have been seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and CNN, and heard on radio programs nationwide. In addition to her PR career, Ms. Bell is the author or co-author of nine nonfiction books from major publishers. She specializes in collaborating on books with experts in business, fitness, and psychology. Titles include From Cinderella to CEO (Wiley); Get Your Body Back (St. Martin’s); Emotional Fitness Conditioning (Putnam Penguin) and Shopaholics (Avon). Anita’s work as a collaborative author is an extension of her expertise in finding ways to bring her clients’ message to the media and the public.
Anita Bell graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in English. She began her career as a reporter with American Banker.
