Professional Experience:

Jonathan Supranowitz is a media and public relations executive with more than 25 years of experience in brand management, media strategy development and execution, crisis communications, press announcement and feature writing and interview/generation coordination.

He joined Thirty Ink in 2018 as crisis communications specialist after most recently serving as the Vice President, Public Relations with the National Basketball Association’s New York Knicks, working directly with ownership, senior executives, coaching staff and professional athletes. As the longest tenured PR executive for the legendary team in its history, Jonathan joined the franchise in 2000 after five years with the Charlotte Hornets and three with the New Jersey Nets. With the Knicks and Madison Square Garden, he managed various high profile crises throughout his tenure, also managing critical responses to the NY media and beyond. 

Prior to his public relations work, Jonathan was a journalist for the award-winning New York Newsday.

As an account director at Thirty Ink, Jonathan advises the managing director and senior management staff on all media and public relations activity for its local and national clients, specializing in crisis communications and media training.

Jonathan is a Brooklyn native, proudly calling the historic section of Canarsie his first home. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from CUNY’s Brooklyn College.  PR Week named him in 2006 and 2007 as one of “10 People with the Toughest Jobs in Communications” and is a seven-time New York Emmy Award winner for his contributions to programming on cable’s MSG Network.
