Professional Experience:
Sarah Tavares is an experienced journalist, editor and communications professional. She joined the Thirty Ink team in 2018 after most recently serving as a senior account executive for a Long Island-based marketing and communications firm. There, she specialized as a head writer and public relations liaison for several school districts in Westchester County. In her role at Thirty Ink, Sarah has worked with clients in higher education, professional and financial services, law, healthcare and other industries to develop successful campaigns, written work and notable media placements.
In addition to her PR experience, Sarah’s career has included editorial work at publications including Crain’s New York Business and theLoop. She has additionally held local editor and community editor positions for Patch Media Corporation, where she spearheaded all written and visual content for Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor Patch. She also has experience writing SEO-focused content for businesses in a variety of industries, including fashion and retail, fitness and nutrition, beauty and athletic equipment, among others.
Sarah is a native of Westchester County and an alumna of New York University, where she graduated with a BA degree in journalism and psychology.
